MISANTHROPIK TOUR vs. RESIDENCIES
my personal preference as a DJ has long been to avoid getting attached to a
residency in favour of touring. there are several reasons kollektively hovering
around my penchant for bekoming bored very quickly when sensing things are developing
into a routine. the result of which ultimately ends up depreciating my work ethic.
worse, over time i find myccclv lapsing into depression, the awareness of which
having little or no power of alleviation. in an interesting turn of fate, my desire
to tour has now become my nemesis; preventing me from utilizing my free time to
finish several projekts which are extremely important to me - not the least of
which inkludes a CD - and tour - of original material which everyone has unknowingly
heard at past gigs and the misanthropik radio show from time to time.
so. for those of you who give a shite, do not be alarmed if my schedule seems
rather light from a frequency point of view. i will be spinning monthly as a
resident at suite abbyss and paradise lost. other 'guest' appearances will
always be konsidered [ i recently accepted a spot to DJ Mz. ophelia's birthday
celebration MAY 24th ] and i have several large events still to be announced.
also, the M9NDFUKC event which i produce is one of the aforementioned projekts
which demands my attention and may hopefully wind up being a 3rd residency in
new york city. truth be told, i have made similar announcements in the past
only to find my tour schedule had aktually inkreased, in hindsight. but, at this
point i hope that you will find the results of a decidedly different focus will
be interesting enough to accept why i may not be announcing as many DJ gigs as
you have likely been accustomed. i believe strongly from numerous emails and
konversations that there are - thankfully! - enough people who care about the fruits
of my labours and know how much i appreciate the support and interest therein.
